Synopsis: This species has bred at least twice in Harney County. Although the atlas project did not confirm nesting on the coast during the project period, this species has bred at least 3 times in Coos County, most recently in 2000 (North Spit of Coos Bay).

Relative Detectability: Fairly easy to spot and to confirm breeding.

Challenge: Determine if this species breeds annually in Oregon, and search for additional locations.
